Digital Media Intelligence business – 60K basic – London Our client is a young digital business operating within a much larger global media company. This provides the feeling of operating in a start up but within the security of a much larger organisation. Background to the business Scientists are increasingly discussing research papers online on social media sites rather than on publisher’s sites which makes it difficult for researchers and institutions to assess the impact of their papers. Until our client came along, they found it difficult to measure this impact. Our client tracks and collates data from an established list of news sites, blogs, social media networks and other online sources in a sophisticated manner with an easy-to-use front end. Think google or Facebook analytics but for the science industry. The Product Sales Manager (PSM) will be responsible for all product sales activities from lead generation through to closing business for an assigned territory. You will implement an agreed strategic plan to promote the business’ products, helping to meet and exceed annual targets. Working alongside internal/ external account managers and representatives from other portfolio companies, the PSM will focus on providing product solutions for institutional customers. The core focus is on building long-term relationships through the provision of product support and decision guidance in a partnership structure. The PSM will help shape institutional products through consistent feedback from institutions to product teams. Success will be measured by the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values Responsibilities
  • Source, collate and feedback customer needs to the business
  • Source, develop, and nurture the client relationships and referrals to the highest standard
  • Travel up to 40% of the time within your assigned territory to meet prospects and clients both at their location and at specified conferences and trade shows
  • Assist in the development and implementation of product marketing plans
  • Maintain up to date product sales pipeline for forecasting purposes
Experience required
  • Experience with selling enterprise software solutions to C-level executives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and relationship building skills
  • Proven sales experience in the academic, library, non-profit or government market
  • Experience with mainstream CRM preferred
  • Experience of selling products that require the agreement of a range of stakeholders
