Online Marketing Director – London – Salary upon request. The Online Marketing Director will assume responsibility for the consumer marketing performance of two digital businesses and their portfolio companies. Our client is the leading scientific publisher in the UK, and one of the largest publishers in the world. Within this parent organisation, our client is investing heavily in developing its own digital businesses and in acquiring, investing in and incubating start up companies. The Online Marketing Director will be responsible for (i) a global online B2C education business, (ii) a digital technology business that looks to exploit opportunities within the field of digital scientific information, and (iii) portfolio companies within the group. Besides establishing best practice processes, the role will take responsibility for developing the international marketing strategy and will work closely with the operational teams providing expert advice. In the field of SEO, a unit wide optimization strategy should be formulated and executed, supporting the overall performance. Setting up internal training and coaching processes is crucial to ensure the construction of a strong organisational foundation. This role requires profound knowledge in online marketing channels, a network of specialists and the drive to become an opinion leader in the industry. In this role, the successful candidate will be managing the online marketing strategies across numerous countries and therefore the successful candidate will have experience in steering large international campaigns and have a strong relevant personal network in order to successfully deliver this. Key skills required: ·        SEM and SEO ·        Social Media marketing ·        Affiliate ·        Conversion optimisation ·        Mobile marketing Experience sought: ·        Online Marketing of B2C platforms, from strategy definition (interplay with offline channels) to implementation and optimisation ·        Driving online services from first online marketing campaigns to substantial budgets (7 digit range) ·        Building and leading specialist teams ·        Developing an online Marketing strategy internationally and demonstrable experience in steering large international campaigns ·        Knowledge of broad range of marketing channels and their interdependence. ·        Should already have a strong relevant personal network established. The position will be based from our client’s London office but will also involve working with portfolio companies situated in a number of locations around the world.
