It looks to have been a tough week for anyone not captaining Suarez as many of the big hitters didn’t hit the target – Aguero, Giroud, anyone at Chelsea, er, does Benteke still qualify? Indeed, who’d have thought the likes of Bony could be a key man? He looks like he could really go on a run with Swansea’s up and coming fixtures coupled with Michu’s absence. Equally, Remy can’t stop scoring for Newcastle. Does anyone own him though? There’s something unreliable about a QPR-loaned player delivering week after week at a team like Newcastle. Demba Ba used to do it there I suppose but then he was brilliant until he went to Chelsea. No idea what’s going on with him now. The shakedown of all of this means it was a tough week for our previous leader, Trinity Mirror’s Robert Harris, who captained Aguero. Man City just can’t seem to do it on the road. Meaning that RBi’s Dave Salisbury steps up into top spot with a solid 66 points this week. Still, only 30 points separate top spot from 15th so it’s pretty tight. Our leaders early in the season seem to have dropped back so far from very high national places. I guess it was inevitable. However it means the route looks open for anyone who can post a final finish within the top 30,000 or so. Why Kermit’s Finger by the way Phil? I think I’m missing something here … Ewan.
