James Moss has won the media industry league so massive congratulations to him. He finished on 19,544. That kind of ranking is particularly impressive these days because there are now over 6 million players and there’s a lot more information around than there was a few years ago.

It was a close one for the victory. I came in second place, just three points behind with a total rank of 20,646. I’d led for a few weeks with a decent margin of victory but James progressed from 113,00 in GW 31 with a green arrow pretty much every week.

The difference could have been any number of things but captaincy was certainly a biggie – James captained Mane’s 15 points and I captained Sterling’s 5. I also seriously considered LaPorte but didn’t do it. So many ‘ifs and buts’ of course but nothing counts except what you did and the points you garnered.

Both of us brought in Pogba, plus I had Rashford and Lindelof from previous weeks. Blimey, United have been poor in these past two weeks.

James is Head of Ad Operations at MOBKOI, a mobile advertising specialist. Perhaps his technical knowledge allows him to crunch numbers successfully.

He’s an experienced campaigner playing since the 07/08 season and his record is impressive – he’s not finished outside the top 100K since the 2010/11 season and his top finish is an outstanding 559. Actually, as I’m looking at your record James, you clearly spend too much time on this!

Let me also say well done to Richard Myles of sales training company Flume in third place. This was a highest ever finish for Richard reaching 39, 279. I know Richard well and it was a close one between us with him beating me for much of the year. Next season Rich, next season!

Congratulations of course go to Man City. What a season they’re having with ‘The Triple’ looking likely – League Cup, FA Cup and League. As a Liverpool fan this is somewhat painful because Liverpool have been excellent. But, ultimately, they weren’t good enough. I’m looking forward to seeing them go at it next year too.

So congratulations again to James. I’ll be in touch to organise your prize. Here’s the Top 10 at the end of the season.

To all managers – I’ll be in touch in July/ August for the new season. I hope you’re up for the challenge next season.
