Advertising Sales Executive – South London – OTE of £36,700 (from a base of £28,700) Our client is the publishing arm of a US-owned global information company that employs over 8000 people worldwide covering industries ranging from energy and power to transportation, manufacturing, defense and security. This position serves to account manage and develop revenue across a portfolio of three publishing brands for print, digital, online, email marketing and events. The titles are fully paid-for, demonstrating their worth to the audience and, consequently, to advertisers. Furthermore, a new website has just been launched for the brands to supply much greater digital inventory and options to advertising clients. Key responsibilities of the role include
  • To exceed monthly and annual sales revenue targets.
  • To develop close links with clients that will enable IHS to find new ways to develop revenue such as feature supplements, sponsorships and online advertising.
  • Identify opportunities, strengthening and managing relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Participate in all sales and marketing activities to achieve company sales plan.
  • Work closely with other team members to accomplish team goals.
Key requirements of the candidate include
  • Mature, aggressive, self-motivated with a passion for selling
  • 2 years of advertising sales experience
  • Good use of English especially creative sales letter writing
  • Strong presentation, communication and negotiations skills.
  • Ability to give effective confident sales presentations to customers
